Reflectac
New 6 mil engineering grade reflective with a 7 year UV rating.
Reflectac is a new flexible 6 mil engineering grade retroreflective sheeting that prints very well with thermal printers in addition to many solvent ink jets.
It is economical compared to other engineering grade reflective sheeting on the market. Reflectac is very resistant to heat and humidity as well as cold and arid conditions.
It is outdoor durable up to 7 years when vertically exposed and properly applied.
Reflectac is also destructible after curing on most surfaces for a period of 72 hrs. This makes it an economical alternative to Evidene Destructible Reflective. Use Reflectac for warning signs, labels, vehicle graphics, decals, etc.
The service temperature range is -20°F to 176°F. Minimum application temperature is 60°F.
Reflectac is measured using European Standard EN 12899-1 and ASTM D 4596 methods. A chart of the observation angles and results based on those testing procedures is available if needed.
DESCRIPTION White Engineering Grade reflective sheeting, with a 7 year outdoor durable rating, and coated with a permanent pressure sensitive solvent based adhesive on a paper liner. Main uses include signs, warning labels and asset tags. Conforms to standards such as ASTM D-4956, and European EN 12899-1. Reflectac can be printed with most thermal transfer, and solvent ink jet printing devices.
Thickness 5 mil. vinyl with 1 mil. of adhesive.
Outdoor Life 7 years
Shelf Life 1 years stored at 70º F & 50% RH
Adhesive Properties Aggressive, high performance, permanent solvent-based acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive works on most surfaces.
Service Temperature Range -22 F to 176º F
Minimum Application Temperature + 60º F
Recommended Application TechniquesClean the application surface immediately before applying Reflectac. Use a mild solvent or detergent to remove dirt, oil, etc. Apply when the ambient temperature is between 60ºF and 77ºF, 15ºC and 25ºC.
Software Settings Use the print settings you would normally use for 280i reflective material. For faster throughput, use the 2 mil label stock setting at 300 x 300. Duracoat users should use 280i settings. Due to cutting blade sharpness, please perform test cuts to determine the correct settings. A 45º blade should work well.
