Gerber Static Cling is a 7-mil, highly plasticized vinyl film designed to adhere to glass and other clean, smooth, non-porous surfaces without any adhesive system — it clings via static electricity. Available in clear and white. Print, cut, and apply. Customers love this material because they can apply it themselves.

Ideal for interior applications of temporary decorative, instructional, or promotional labels and signs on glass products such as windows, monitors, and mirrors. Interior applications only — not for outdoor or petrochemical-contact environments.

Not for: exterior use; petrochemical environments; painted surfaces without user testing; horizontal ceilings or overhead applications.

Clear version: print in reverse mode for second-surface viewing (view from the opposite side of the substrate). Note: clear Static Cling may develop a surface haze before application — it will dissipate once applied.

Printing, Cutting & Storage

Printing:

  • - Use Gerber HP 220 lighter print settings if Static Cling isn't in your palette
  • - Compatible foils: GCS (Spot), GCP Process Pro™ CMYK, GCT (Transparent)
  • - Blot any excess pigment transfer with application tape immediately after printing
  • - Bail arm squeegees may stick — apply Gerber Hi-tack tape to squeegees to prevent this
  • - Operating temp: 50°F to 95°F; recommended 68°F–78°F for accuracy

Cutting:

  • - Any 15" EDGE-compatible sprocketed plotter
  • - 30° SuperSharp blade; full speed; test cut first

Storage:

  • - 3-month shelf life from purchase
  • - Store below 75°F (23°C) and 75% RH, away from sunlight
  • - Paper interleaf between stacked/rolled materials; no face-to-face stacking
